Mathieu Roy

Mathieu Roy has been a Licensed Insolvency Trustee since 2012 and is the President of M. Roy & Associés Inc. He is the third generation of Licensed Insolvency Trustees in his family, working alongside his father Jacques, who has also been a Licensed Insolvency Trustee since 1986.
Before shifting his career towards insolvency as a trustee, Mathieu was a lawyer at the Montreal office of Ogilvy Renault LLP (now Norton Rose) where he practiced in the areas of commercial litigation and bankruptcy and insolvency. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Montreal (2002) and a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto (2005).
Mathieu primarily acts for SMEs facing financial difficulties who wish to restructure their operations while continuing to operate. He assists companies in all fields of activity, but specializes in cases involving construction and transportation companies. He is also involved in cases involving individuals.
He serves clients from the Montreal area, including the Laurentians and Lanaudière.
Mathieu was President of the Board of Directors of the Conseil des syndics autorisés en insolvabilité du Québec (formerly AQPRI) from 2015 to 2018, having previously been a member of the Board of Directors from 2013 to 2015.

Jacques Roy
PAIR, SAI, trustee advisor
Mr. Roy has been a licensed trustee since 1986. Throughout his career, Mr. Roy has helped thousands of businesses and individuals regain financial health.
Prior to his insolvency career, Mr. Roy worked as a chartered accountant for several years at Roy, Desrochers, Lambert SENCRL in Victoriaville. He then shifted his career to insolvency where, starting in 1981, he worked alongside his father Jean Roy, a trustee since 1947, at M. Roy & Associés trustees. In 2000, M. Roy & Associés trustees merged with another trustee firm in the Quebec region to form Roy, Métivier, Roberge inc. (RMR). Mr. Roy retired from RMR in 2011 and now acts as a trustee advisor at M. Roy & Associés, licensed trustees in insolvency, where he works with his son Mathieu.
Mr. Roy primarily serves the Victoriaville office of the firm.
Mr. Roy’s social involvement and honors received include:
Member of the Board of Directors of the UQTR Foundation since 1998;
Creation with his spouse Myriam Cantin of the Cantin-Roy Fund dedicated to awarding scholarships to occupational therapy students at UQTR;
Member of the Board of Directors of AQPRI (Quebec Association of Reorganization and Insolvency Professionals – now the Quebec Licensed Insolvency Trustee Council) for 20 years;
Member of the Board of Directors of the Victoriaville Golf Club since 1982 and President since 2008;
Governor of the Bois-Francs Chamber of Commerce;
Governor of the Trois-Rivières Young Chamber of Commerce.
Lisa Beaulne

Lisa is an experienced advisor who began working in the insolvency field in 2008. With her recognized hands-on approach, she handles consumer files with great tact, but it’s her empathy and ability to listen that earns her many compliments from her clients. Lisa is always ready to meet with you, whether in person or virtually, and will provide you with clear guidance on how to resolve your financial problems once and for all.
She primarily serves the Joliette, Repentigny, Ste-Thérèse and St-Jérôme.

Nadia has recognized expertise in consumer insolvency, having worked in the field since 2014. She joined the M. Roy et Associés team in 2018 and has held the position of Insolvency Advisor since graduating in 2023. Nadia is known for her dedication, great sensitivity, attentiveness, and dynamism. Her ability to find solutions tailored to each situation has earned her high praise from customers. Whether face-to-face or virtually, she’ll provide you with sound advice and reassuring support every step of the way.
